The face lifted 2011 Nissan Grand Livina is officially launched and available in Indonesia. Although fundamentally there are not many changes, some exterior changes do make the car looks more modern and worth a consideration.
Since officially marketed in Indonesia in April 2007, the Nissan Grand Livina sales remained stable until now. From the beginning, the seven seater MPV is positioned as the backbone of Nissan’s sales in Indonesia with sales contributing to 60 percent of total sales.
From the initial launch in 2007 the Grand Livina has received 15 awards from various media and institutions.
“By keeping the stylish design, comfort and economy fuel consumption, we are now presenting the New Nissan Grand Livina,” said Takayuki Kimura, President of Nissan Motor Indonesia when unveiling the new model in Jakarta.
Nothing is changed in the engine section. The aluminum alloy 4 Cylinder inline, 16 valve, DOHC and CVTC engine came with 1.5 liter and 1.8 liter version. The vehicle is 4,420 mm long, 1,690 mm wide and 1,595 tall and the Ultimate version weight about 1,250 kg with 185 mm ground clearance. The fuel tank can pack 52 liter of gasoline fuel.
The conventional hydraulic system is replaced with (EPS), eliminating the power steering oil pump and hydraulic piping. EPS also improves handling for a smoother and responsive drive.
For the exterior The New Nissan Grand Livina has a new more modern grill style and new alloy wheels with its 185/65 R15 tire size.
The interior has a new look and feel to it with the color change from beige or cream to black. The New Nissan Grand Livina speedometer has a white base color (except for type SV), giving it a better visibility. The whole interior is sportier and fresh with extra touch of leather, wood and silver decoration as well as a 2 Din/AM/FM/CD/MP3 + 6 CD in dash sound system.
Nissan pursues innovation as part of its “Safety Shield” concept, an advanced, proactive approach to safety issues based on the idea that cars should help protect people. The safety features includes dual airbags, zone body concept, side impact beam and collapsible steering wheel.
New Nissan Grand Livina is available in Indonesia with 5 variants of SV 1.5, 1.5 XV, 1.5 Highway Star, 1.5 Ultimate and 1.8 Ultimate with two choices of automatic and manual transmission.
The price ranging from Rp 169.5 million for the entry level and Rp 236 million for the top of the line.
The new model is marketed with the five color options which are black, silver, gray and new colors red and white.
