The 2013 Honda Accord has undergone a complete redesign in order to keep up with its closest competition.

The All New Honda Accord is still powered by 4 inline cylinder 16 valves DOHC I VTEC for the 2.4 liter VTI version and 6 cylinder V shape 24 valves SOHC I VTEC VCM for the 3.5 liter V6 version. However the horsepower and maximum torque has been upped thanks to the All-new Earth Dreams powertrains. The car is now also has an extra gear for manual as well as automatic transmission version.

The All New Honda Accord also uses direct injection which slightly improves the fuel efficiency as well as low emission without sacrificing performance. The fuel efficiency for combined driving is now 12 km/ liter compare to the old version of 11.5 km/liter.

Apart from the obvious such as new grill and head light, the overall body is more round and chubby

As the slogan say, better, not bigger, the All New Honda Accord is slightly shorter by almost 9 cm compare to the previous model. The height and the width are almost similar though still smaller by few millimeters.

The 2013 Honda Accord Sedan body designs are the most sophisticated in Honda Accord history and aerodynamically efficient

The 2013 Accord Sedan body designs are the most sophisticated in Accord history and aerodynamically efficient. The 2013 Accord unit-body uses 55.8 % more high-tensile steel compare to any previous Accord. In addition, 17.2-percent of the steel is now grade 780, 980 and 1,500 which is an extremely high grade that have never before been used in any Accord. This contributes to higher body rigidity and reduced weight, which directly benefits ride and handling, interior quietness, performance and efficiency and long-term durability.

From the front this new design can clearly be seen. Apart from the obvious such as new grill and head light, the overall body is more round and chubby which oddly kind of similar to the design of Toyota Camry. From the side the body line is more pronounced and gives the impression of bigger interior than the previous model. The back side also gets a major redesign with new LED style which looks more elegance and plum.

The interior also gets major redesign and available in Black, Gray and Ivory cloth or leather. Standard features include redesigned seating, dual-zone automatic climate control and simplified controls and instrumentation.

Compared to the previous edition, this model offers more spacious accommodations for five passengers, and a roomy trunk with a flatter load floor for greater utility. Although the vehicle length has decreased, the interior dimensions actually bigger. Rear legroom and both front and rear shoulder room increase, and trunk space is also bigger.

Contemporary onboard electronics help the Accord driver seamlessly interface with the latest generation of compatible personal mobile electronics. Standard features on all Accords include a bright, full-color 8-inch (diagonal) “intelligent” Multi-Information Display (i-MID), Bluetooth®2 HandsFreeLink® phone interface, Pandora® internet radio interface and an SMS text messaging feature. A new available Audio with touchscreen display and the Honda Satellite-Linked Navigation System™ with Voice Recognition and FM Traffic is also available.

The 2013 Honda Accord is also the first Honda product to offer available HondaLink™ technology

The 2013 Honda Accordis also the first Honda product to offer available HondaLink™ technology, which works with the owner’s compatible Smartphone to connect the Accord with music and media resources such as Aha™ by Harman, internet apps, roadside assistance and more.
