The All New Ford Focus Is Full Of Quality

Ford Indonesia is now pegging their hopes on the All New Ford Focus to lift their sales for the 2013. The expectation is not an impossible one considering it has been getting various awards such as the 2012 Car of the Year from Autobild, and 2012 Best Medium Sedan by ICOTY.

The one thing that stands out right away when you look at Ford Focus is its sporty and sleek design thanks to the athletic Z shaped body line. The car body resembles a bullet which accentuated by the small grille on the hood with Ford logo and the extended large black grille on the front bumper complete with massive also black air inlet on either side which gives it the sporty impression.

This trapezium shaped large grille is not just for show and has an active grille shutter that can open and close depending on the engine temperature. By only allowing air in when the engine needs cooling the grille also function to reduces drags when shut allowing the car to slide effortlessly.

The LED Bixenon slimline headlamps placed in a slightly tilted position and the slopping shoulder line wrapped the Focus kinetic design perfectly ended with the fit to chassis tail light at the back. The overall design of the car is very pleasing to the eyes with the bulging fenders at the front to the arching roofline at the back.

All version of Ford Focus came with 6 speed Power Shift automatic transmission with electric injection fuel system which delivers a precise amount of fuel to each cylinder for optimum efficiency.  The transmission is equipped with dual-clutch featuring Torque Hole Filling technology which was designed for smoother and more seamless gear changes. The technology allows pre selection of the gear so there is no loss of power causes by changing gear.

The four trims of Ford Focus available in Indonesia are Sedan Trend 1.6L AT and Hatchback Trend powered by 1.6 liter Ti-VCT I-4 gasoline engine capable of providing power of 125 PS at 6,300 rpm and maximum torque of 159 Nm at 4,000 rpm. And the Sedan Titanium 2.0L AT and Hatchback Sport 2.0L AT version is powered by 2 liter Ti-VCT GDI I-4 with power of 170 PS at 6,600 rpm and maximum torque of 202 Nm at 4,450 rpm.

The difference between the GDI engine and non GDI engine is that the technology creates fine spray of fuel that is injected directly into the combustion chamber when required providing more efficient combustion for better fuel efficiency.

The Focus Sedan is 4,534 mm long, 1,823 mm wide and 1,483 mm tall while the Focus Hatchback is 4,358 mm long, 1,823 mm wide and 1,461 mm tall. As a size comparison to its competitor, the Mazda CX-5 is 4,555 mm long, 1,840 mm wide and 1,670 mm tall.

The interior is where the All New Ford Focus really excels. The cabin is designed to wrap your body by putting everything within reach while still providing ample space for passenger inside. The dashboard is an intricate arrangement of shapes, knobs and switches with a four 4 ways adjustable steering wheels complete with control pads for audio and SYNC providing a high tech look.

The 2013 Ford Focus is available in many color options such as Frozen White, Lunar Sky, Panther Black, Winning Blue, Mustard Olive, Candy Red, Brisbane Brown and Ingot Silver.
