The All New Chevrolet TrailBlazer Is Meaner Than The Captiva
For those of you who still remember Opel or Chevrolet Blazer and wondered whatever happened to the line up, wonder no more. After successfully introducing the Chevrolet Captiva, the GM Motor Indonesia now introduces the line up continuation from Chevrolet Blazer called Chevrolet TrailBlazer which is meaner and tougher than ever.
The Chevrolet TrailBlazer was introduced as a as a concept car at the 2011 Dubai Motor Show and as a production model at the Bangkok Motor Show on March later the same year. The models enter and sold in Indonesia couple of months ago available in two versions, 2.4L LT 2×4 manual transmission and the more expensive 2.8L LTZ 4×4 automatic transmission.

The Chevrolet TrailBlazer 2.4L LT is powered by 2.5L, DOHC, 4 cylinders, 16 valves with Turbocharger and Intercooler. The engine is capable of producing maximum power of 150 PS at 3800 rpm and torque of 350 Nm at 2,000 rpm engine speed. The Chevrolet TrailBlazer 2.8L LTZ is powered by 2.8L, DOHC, 4 cylinders, and 16 valves with Variable Geometry (VG) Turbocharger with intercooler. Both are using the all new family of GM Duramax engine.
Both engines type offers durable components with a unique technology that only requires maintenance once every 20,000 miles – the longest scheduled maintenance intervals in its class.

The Chevrolet TrailBlazer is designed by the GM South America Design Center in São Caetano do Sul, Brazil has a distinct Chevrolet global DNA design and to suit the Asian market it was further developed in Thailand by observing how the Thais use their vehicles and the driving conditions they experience. The insights gathered led to the development of two models which then made its way to Indonesia.
Both versions has similar size and at 4,878 mm long, 2,132 mm wide and 1,831 mm tall it is a lot bigger that the Chevrolet Captiva at 4, 673 mm long, 1,849 mm wide and 1,756 mm tall.

The exterior features include “body in-wheels out” design that gives high and strong front and rear corners lines and equipped with a dual-port grille. The shades of chrome around the grille, door handles, rear door handles, hood mirrors, fog lamps at the front and rear of the vehicle, as well as projector headlamps and LED tail lamp lights provides a premium class image.
Interior is where Chevrolet TrailBlazer really excel. The simple and neat interior is very spacious with Interior volume can reach between 205 liters to 1830 liters when all seats folded flat. The designers also managed to increase the second and third row of seats without compromising headroom.
The simple interior consist of a flowing instrument panel, integrated center stack and dual tone cockpit design while the third-row seat also offers comfort and space, even for adults, on a long trip.

Two-tone (beige and dark gray) trim which is used in contrast with the light-colored leather seats, door trim and dual-grained surfaces on the instrument panel gives a premium feel as well as a total of 32 storage compartments located throughout the interior, including a lockable main compartment for storage of valuables and large dual glove box.
All New Chevrolet Trailblazer is available in seven different colors Summit White, Switchblade Silver Metallic, Black Sapphire Metallic, Royal Grey Metallic, Red Sizzle, Auburn Brown and Oceanic Blue.
